My PW goes 100m, my 7 Iron goes 130m, my 5 Iron goes 90m and my 3 Iron goes 70 Meters. 🤦‍♂️

10 minutes worth of telling me my swing is sh*t, lol. Thanks for the reminder.

I think most folks will agree.
There's also the ' trying to hit the ball hard' with longer irons too, which gets me all out of shape and tempo 😬

This describes my irons perfectly, so I’m certainty looking forward to part 2! It’s roughly a 10m difference between my predictable shorter irons, but 5-3i seem to be little or no gains when I would have expected slightly more per club. After years away from the game I’m getting back to the range weekly, working on leaving my dreaded over-the-top-chop and slice behind, with a swing around the body more and a path to right-field like you help illustrate with the hoop. When I get it right it feels great with nice shape, better ball speed and distance. Loving your videos from NZ and getting back into golf!

Great explanation. Only discovered your channel yesterday. Have watched 4 or 5 videos already and the mix of technical skill and creative thinking is right up my street. I'm using it all the time in my therapy work with clients and did so when I was a professional violinist. Thanks

Thanks Marcus for another fantastic insight into this great game we’re all trying to play. Your explanations are so clear and applicable to all golfers. If you haven’t had a lesson with Marcus, I thoroughly recommend you get one arranged. It’s an excellent experience.

Thanks for a great explanation, I never quite understood why I struggle to shape my shorter Iron shots and yet my longer Iron shots bend like David Beckham Freekicks. Now waiting eagerly for the next vid for the solution!

Wow. Thanks for pointing this out. 170 yard par 3s have been my nemesis because of this. I have a bleeding fade on my 5 and 6 iron shots and I haven't been able to sort out why. Explained perfectly.

I'm a 31 - year old from Papua New Guinea who just started playing 2 months ago. I've been scouring the internet for tips on how to get better in the quickest way possible. After 6 weeks of PAIN, I discovered ZGM two weeks ago and have binge-watching and implementing the instructions every day at the range since. In 2 WEEKS, yes 2 weeks, I'm delighted to say I've gone from being a "tree-hugging" guru during rounds to effortless iron striking right down the centre of the fairway with that oh so sweet compressed and effortless feel. Thank you Markus and ZGM!!!

This video addresses one of the things that I'm noticing though. I can strike the ball very well from my PW to my 4i but my 3i hasn't been the same. I now understand perfectly why this is the case.

If someone has the second part to this video, please direct me there. Thank you again!!!! 😄

Brilliant analogy I think most club golfers have this problem. Including myself. Great stuff Marcus.

Thanks for another great video Marcus. That’s really helped me to understand the club lofts and direction. Looking forward to part 2!

Hi Marcus...great vids...much appreciated as I have improved my game and distance putting in practice your concepts. As different to many players, I struggle with short irons swing and I think it is due to my previous experience playing baseball and softball. I feel really uncomfortable with short irons.

First time I've seen this channel. This was really useful to me, as it explains something I've never really thought about before. Now I am looking forward to watching some more of your videos.

Wonderful visual explanation. Didn't understand this face/path/loft concept variability fully. Now I do! This should help immensely with awareness during a round when swing is off slightly especially on windy days. Thanks a bunch!

Holy cow. Now I understand why I hook the crap out of my 4i, and when I try to correct it, it just goes 20 miles right! Unfortunately, we're left to our own to figure out how to solve this issue. LOL. But thanks for throwing some extra science into all of this!

I just wanted to say thank you for making your videos and using real people in them, like me. I haven’t played a round in over a month because of work and a new baby but I have been practicing using a net, the balance board, and visualizing my shot. I like most probably most weekend golfers try to hit the ball straight. Today I didn’t try to do that once and I played probably the best round of my life. Today I didn’t think once about hitting the ball or be upset after a poor shot. I just thought about if the ball did what I visualized. Huge game charger for me. So again thanks for the videos and keep them coming.
