i was the closest i’ve ever been to attempting last night, with pills laid out and in hand, thinking: i just need a sign to tell me not to do this.

i’m still here, obviously. not too long before seeing this video i sent my therapist and email asking when the awful feelings will go away because it has been / has felt endless, and how i had no reasons to stay.

i think randomly stumbling on this video (which i didn’t know about prior even though i’m subscribed to kat) titled “reasons to stay alive” might be the largest fucking sign that’s ever been made available to me.

Thank you so much for this video. I am literally in tears. I hadn't known I needed a video like this until I saw it. The past year has been crazy and really painful for many of us. Many of us lost our loved ones because of COVID, many of us were not able to stay in touch with our loved ones, not able to say goodbye, not able to maintain some relationships. And above all of that, we've been living in limbo, not knowing what the future holds for us, not being able to work, to go out, to socialize, simply not being able to live the way we used to. This video brings us hope, and if I ever feel like I am losing hope, I will come back to this video.
P.S. I have always admired your work and loved the esthetics of your videos!
