Excellent video. Thank you so much! One suggestion, when you run into issues like you did with the middle fingers when retargeting to HIK its important to not speed through how you solved issues like that. Walk us through that stuff. Those are the gems that your viewer need to see.

Great tutorial. What do you do after the video ends? Do you bake all those animation clips down to one layer? Then do you throw it on the Time Editor as a clip?

Great tutorial! What's your approach when you have to constraint HIK effectors to something in the scene for example if a character is holding a trumpet where both the hands are constraint to the trumpet (probably the trumpet is constraint to head)?

Question for you. Is it possible to retarget the fbx to a character rig that doesn't have joints, but has the rig set up already?

Hi! I’ve been using this workflow for a long time and it works incredibly!!!
Right now, I’ve been able to re-rig with the advanced Skeleton for both face and body rig. Then put it into mixamo for a t pose and movements.
I’m struggle to combine FBX movements in Maya and retarget there. I’m able to bake the animation, but I struggle to bake multiple animations in the time editor. Say I want to combine a run with a jump, but what I need are two different mixamo FVX movements. I’m just on the CUSP of perfecting the workflow. But I’m just running into some issues! If there are any ideas you recommend to combine mixamo FBX movement please please please let me know! This video was so helpful and you’ve gained a new ROKOKO Stan.

I have used the Maya quick rig tool to rig my character as I get an unknown error when I try to use mixamo with my model. However, I can’t get this method to work😅
