Alex Murdaugh's double murder trial hit a delay ahead of closing arguments when the judge dismissed one of the jurors.

Judge Clifton Newman announced one of the jurors had discussed her opinion about trial evidence with 3 people -- presumably not other jurors -- and therefore, she's being replaced with an alternate.

The jurors' dismissal also came with an inflationary sign of the times, as she demanded her belongings from the jury room before departing. Those items included her purse, a water bottle and a dozen eggs.

After seeing the evidence, its no surprise the juror felt strongly about the guilt or innocence of Murdaugh. Since the defense doesnt like the judges ruling, it would appear this juror was favorable to the defense.

I also appreciate how the judge carefully pronounces the “or” sound 😂 the defense attorney the other day continually saying “yer analysis” in his accent i about died when the witness thought he was saying urinalysis - it took myself a while to realize it was his accent and he was saying YOUR analysis 🤣

I can't speak to how to improve the system, but all I can say is that since I was a juror in two cases sometime in the late 60s, I vowed to myself never to be in a situation where jurors hold my future in their hands. The odds of someone being too stupid, lazy and/or uncaring to decide anything regarding someone's life are too high . It is not easy sit in judgement with an open, logical and responsible mind.

To be fair, today's food prices such as eggs are a bit expensive though I was cracking up at how the Judge says "a dozen eggs?!?" Made my day with giggling!

WOW. JUST WOW. This is serious and this judge cuddled and babied her instead of scolding her and throwing her out without all the flirtasious crap. I said to myself she has to be a black women. Soon as she spoke about the eggs, i said "yup, shes black".
