The committee did not give TikTok CEO a chance to explain. It is really frustrating to hear the committee members kept saying "yes or no". The committee simply just wanted to express their position to the public. But the public wanted to hear both sides' stories and made their own decision.

I was skeptical of TikTok but after hearing the congressmen, I’m convinced the criticism of TikTok is as baseless as the accusations against Dominion Voting Systems.

The algorithm that works behind tiktok is fundamentally similar to those on other social media. Artificial intelligence churned out large amount of data, delivers feed based on user historical preference and present search. It aint something that can be explained by simplistic yes or no questions those technological dinosaurs were asking. The community understood that the inquiry into tiktok is more of political motivation rather real security privacy issues.
