Free DaVinci is by far the best free editor in my experience. For someone on a low budget it's a no brainer.

I started my career on a T3i. Great camera and EF lenses are forever. T3i + cheap Canon 50mm lens shoots gorgeous video.

I don't know what's crazier. The fact that I decided to hard commit learning video editing and simply stumbled on this by YT alg. or the fact that I'm about to really ball on a budget with all this wealth of knowledge. Thank you very much for this. 🙏🙏

I bought a 10-dollar tripod off Amazon and it honestly does the job. If I want to get smooth motion, I use it as a gimbal or use a smooth motion preset in Premiere Pro and animate the movement.

I have saved up money last year, and did so for no specific purpose, i just knew i will use it good... Now i have about 2k coins and figured out i always liked filming stuff, family videos, school trips..i was always holding the camera up and loved doing it. I think imma give it a try. This is truly a perfect video, shows the "cheap" and then the upgrade too, throws in the names and brands we need to know, the essential gear.. its all there. Thanks a lot!

To be honest This is the most clear cut video I have seen ever. I started from 1200d manual focus and 50mm 1.8 lens then sl2 with 50mm 1.8 lens and usb microphone. Next update will be a Gimbal to shoot B roll. Love you tomorrows filmmakers

Everything Said In This Video Is So Correct Except For Video Editor Go For Da Vinci Resolve Its The Best In My Opinion But As Long As You Can Edit In Any Software That Works For You Then Its Good.

Great video! I'd go for the t5i personally, you can find em for $150-200 all day long and Magic Lantern Crop Mood makes em a RAW shooting monster, but even without ML the updated sensor and processor make a world of difference IMO.

One thing I noticed here is that lots of people say "go for Da Vinci Resolve". I personally chose adobe cloud due to the fact that I'm also a photographer and I use photoshop, lightroom, etc. So 20€/month is not that big of a deal for the adobe cloud considering you get a lot of programs. If you are ACTUALLY using them, I would say it's definitely worth the money. AS WELL as tomorrow's Filmmaker's school. Not only you save a shitton of money just from their discounts, but you get a crazy amount of knowledge. Absolutely worth it.

The course has been "HUGE DISCOUNT ONLY $97 FOR EXPERIENCE WORTH THOUSANDS" for well over a year now, I struggle to believe it was ever sold for $800

Got myself a Canon SL3 and DJI Mini a couple years ago mainly for car meets I'd go to. I barely used the stuff but not that I'm getting back into filmmaking and photography I'm glad I have them. Beginner stuff but better than nothing ig. I also use my S22 ultra and got a Zhiyun Smooth 5S for it to get some good videos using my phone as well! I'm one that like to buy cool gear and gadgets without really LEARNING how best to use them so they end up collecting dust but after watching a TON of your videos, it makes me really want to dust them off and get to filming and learning!

I started with canon 200D back in 2019. I recommend this camera to all beginners and intermediates who are on a budget.

Nikon D3300 being a very low budget camera which obviously is discontinued way back... But it have the 1080p 60fps so it's good enough for starters

And I think ND Filter and Steady cam along with extra battery with a 50mm 1.8 is better of a deal for starters

I really love *luxdups* bags. The fabric is very good. The golden embellishments add a touch of beauty. When I went to the church, I received some praise.

I started back in the day of tape. and even before that had a Amiga in our home and read the monthly rags, as a child, about how the Amiga was being used in broadcast video work... But sunk my teeth in in the era of Digital tape. SD video on Hi8 and firewire area.. As the industry and tech progressed, Now I'm ready to jump from 4k to 6k acquisition.. But yes, today march of 2023 everything stated here is correct. You literally can start with a decode old used DSLR or mirrorless camera that's a couple hundred bucks. The three things to nail down are getting footage, getting good audio, and controlled lighting. And finally and not less important than the other 3, Editing and "fixing" footage.. color correcting, composting etc. Don't worry about 4k, 6k etc, The broadcast tv standard is 1080i still. Most of it is knowing how to get the result your client wants and understanding what the client wants. You may like that film look etc.. but they may be looking for the ultrasharp video "everything in focus" "gopro/cellphone/ look.. learn how to do it all

Great video but you forgot to mention ND and polarizing filters. I came looking for that but sadly wasn't mentioned anywhere.
