Learn Dynamo - Lesson 1: Getting Started & User Interface

Welcome to my Dynamo series for learning how to use the program from the ground up. In this session we cover how to set up Dynamo, as well as the basics of the general user interface. We also cover how to install custom packages, and I provide a summary of those I recommend using based on my personal preferences.

Hey, I’m using revit 2021 and just access dynamo from there but my page looks differently from yours, I couldn’t see like the coordinate system, and when I was trying to use a + node I couldn’t see the result after connecting it with the watch node.

Do you know what I might be doing wrong ?😅

I wonder why I should learn to code in oder to use revit API, cause there are so many great packages out there.I don't think I could code better than them I‘ve learned a bit but seldom use it cause the node which alread exists can solve a lot problems I met.But I will learn eventually as long as I got plenty of time and it can be useful and more efficient.

Hi ABG, great Video's mate...just sinking my teeth into Dynamo...question... is it normal when adding a package too dynamo, both Revit & Dynamo crash? I'm installing all the custom packages in your recommendations from this Vid and its crashed about 5 times on a few various packages....
