Mr Eddie! I just wanted to say hello, I am an engineering student who has been feeling a very real lack of motivation recently. Today, I discovered your channel and have been binge watching your videos about integrals and calculus, and I have to say that I am truly in love with maths, maybe even more than I have ever been. Thank you so much for being a great teacher!

What is the basis for the claim that the argument of z in the first problem is 3pi/4? That seems utterly arbitrary. ‘It looks like it’ is not a mathematical approach?

How do you determined that the angle z is 3/4 pi?

Can someone please post a link to the paper so we can have a go before watching the solutions?

The explanation of the third question, I think, can be improved. What Eddie taught is the tricks to solve it, but doesn't show much reasons. Instead, the curve is the locus of points satisfying the equation. Firstly, find the arguments of each of the two complex numbers. Secondly, the angles between the two complex numbers can be shown as either pi/3 or 2pi - pi/3. Therefore, choose the equation which gives the right angle.
