Speaking as an employee of the BBC - this got shared during our company meeting yesterday; we all heard it ;) It's absolutely brilliant and put a huge smile on the faces of everyone working behind the scenes to keep the ship afloat during these crazy times. Thank you xxx

Now I'm off to go find my glowsticks.. *dances at desk*

I can't believe that the country that can produce this can't get a single point in Eurovision

So I need to confess, I always thought the BBC News theme just... absolutely slaps...

Like a news intro has no business being that much of a banger...

Problem is I always felt a bit werid, like I just *knew* people would look at me funny if I were honest about this. But *this* has, well it's revealed that I am far from alone here, it's incredibly liberating. And now I'm curious as to what *other* pop hits mesh well with this...

Who’s here after listening to this on BBC Radio 1? Cracking mixup 👌🏼

A subtle achievement is the sheer time period this remix samples from. The clip at 0:59 with an announcer saying, "This is the BBC Home Service" is Wallace Greenslade, who was an announcer on an iconic comedy programme called The Goon Show in the 1950s, so that sample is from about 65 years ago.

There was much good to come out of that period of time: this still slaps four years later

When you watch so many bootleg episodes of Cats Does Countdown, Big Fat Quiz, and Taskmaster that YouTube forgets you live in Texas and starts recommending you incredibly British remixes.

3 years on and I still absolutely love this track. I remember the hype at the time and it still makes me smile. I’d love to see how you did it.

I'm an audio engineer and I know the kind of work that goes into a multi layered edit like this.
A tip of the hat to you Sir - pure genius . . . .

Loved it. Grew up listening to the "toot toot" sound since I was a baby as we used to listen to BBC radio in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). Then I came to the UK and my son was dancing to the BBC News 24 in 2007 with that "toot"sound in the background of the new BBC News 24 theme music. Now to listen to this ? mind blowing. Memories+newness : Amazing !! This made my day. I am 54 by the way.
