Rebecca Minor, a Research Technician at Biosphere 2, talks enthusiastically about the "Blue Barrel" experiment that will inform decisions in the much larger Landscape Evolution Observatory (LEO). The experiment using 50 gallon blue barrels and monitoring plant growth and soil chemistry employs the same soil and sensors that will be used in the LEO project.
