2 NEW Things in PHOTOSHOP 2020

In this video, I demonstrate two significant new features found in Photoshop 2020.

Gear and settings used for images shown in the video:

Seagull:

Aperture Priority Mode
Spot Metering Mode - Metered on post
Single Point Focus - Focused on bird's eye
1/800, F5.6, iso: 100 at 300mm

Eagles:

Manual Mode with Auto ISO
Spot Metering Mode - Metered on the left bird's head
Single Point Focus - Focused on the eye of the bird on left
1/1600, F5.6, iso: 100 at 200mm

THANKS for telling us how to get the new object selection tool into the toolbar! I was going nuts trying to find it. I could go straight to select and mask and use it, but I really wanted it available in the regular tool box. I haven't seen anyone else even mention that it might not be there and you might have to put it in manually.

Anthony, thanks for your clear explanation of HOW to use the object selection tool. Because I don't use Photoshop very much, what I don't know is WHY you use it, other than to remove the object from your picture. For what other reasons would you use it or the subject selection tool? Could you please include some examples in your response. Thanks

The Object Selection tool option is not there,

Damn! You may be late to the party, but other prominent youtubers suggested resetting the toolbar to default to acquire the selection tool, then weeding out all the tools you don't need - again (I did this). Your method of looking in the right hand panel first is far more sensible.

Looks like with each upgrade the new selection tool disappears. Just had to reset again
