This, my song, placed our Choir in The SA Champs, where we won Gold
Hi music lovers. I am Bev Mac Gregor, from South Africa. A composer, arranger and recording artiste, of all styles of music, but was fortunate enough to have recently come upon an amazing Acapella group who've already made a name for themselves nationally and internationally. We clicked immediately, and so I began composing songs specifically to suit our new intended brand of music, and without necessarily detracting completely from their existing unique, traditional African style of singing. I incorporated a modern day twist to our songs, with instrumentation included, to modern up-tempo, Afro Cuban beats. My passion being to compose Anthems that uplift. So in this, my song 'African Drum' I have offered a theme of uplifting, positivism, unity, nation building, and in the hope of encouraging all South Africans to look beyond the fallen sun (political climate), to the horizon ahead. This song echoes our pride in our tradition, music being our tool, and our mutual love for our country. How important it is to us to bond together as a nation, through the good and bad times.
