The problem with light themes isn't that they're light themes. It's that they're **white** themes. Windows 9x, 2000 and XP didn't have this problem with their themes even though all of them were light themes. They were just gray to avoid blinding the user. No such consideration is offered these days, where every light theme on every interface is pure white and awful.

when the Steam Deck releases, there will be less native games for Linux as it'll still use the Proton compatibility layer. some game developers have already officially stated that they're no longer porting their games to Linux and will rely on Proton instead.
