Sorry guys, due to copyright reasons from a fellow youtuber, I had to blur the last part which shows the spacecraft exploding. The explosion wasn't recorded by SpaceX

Elon: Shouldn't it have exploded?
Technicians: oh, sure, sorry...

Turns out being stationary on the pad is the hardest part, lol

Fastest turnaround ever, relaunch after 9 minutes.

It looks warped and leaning after landing. Bright side it landed. Best time to have a failure is during unmanned testing. Figure it out and get it done right. Keep working hard you're doing well. What you're doing isn't easy. If it was we'd all be doing it.

“Ladies and gentlemen the captain has turned off the seat belt sign indicating you are free to gather your belongings prior to exiting the aircraft. We recommend that you wrap the fire proof blanket completely around your entire body as you exit the plane. Welcome to Hades Texas”

One engine appears to be running strangely the whole flight - it has a yellow flame and keeps belching yellow smoke. What are the chances this one was the cause of the later fire?

They've been saying they'll be able to re-launch quickly. This three-second hop proves it. Good job, Spacex!

Thank you for sharing. I had the opportunity to see a rocket launch in 2018. Memorable experience. I shared a pretty cool montage of the trip to my channel.

Just make of a rubust landing a smooth landing. It‘s no rocket science any more, just parking with a flamethrower to maneuver the vehicle. I recall Elon had them for sale at 500, - with a sticker: This is not a flamethrower

more than likely it suffered structural damage causing it to leak from what the announcer mentions "a soft landing" haha yeah right, that sucker bounced...other than that soft landing so to speak and unfortunate explosion...congrats Space X Team

Good work Spacex, to bad after landing problems.

I think it may actually be a fundamental design problem which is causing these rough landings. With a 3 engine arrangement it's impossible to descend with any form of stability which is why when it comes in to land, it drifts and comes down hard on one side. It's not really something that can be solved with something that small but something to keep in mind on larger units.

If the engines were arranged in a line rather than a triangle then you could leave the centre engine active and turn off the left and right. Of course that creates other problems, mostly regarding stability in the Z axis which may cause more problems then it solves.

A potential solution is to either delay the full landing burn or leave it longer to have a more controlled and stabilised landing.

Its like the soldier who survives the war only to be killed at home by some nut job.
