I've been getting burned out on programming (I do data science and full stack development), and I've been wanting to figure out how to make a game to get some of my love of programming back. But that quote did it for me. I'll be watching however many of the videos you have on this series to get some feet under me with C++

Late to the party but really enjoying the series, code-along type videos have been the perfect gateway to me creating my own things in C++. I personally have added a 'shield' through setting an armour value that adds to the Current/MaxHP, increasing the total HP you can have depending on what armour you use. Simplistic but will see if it works out.

Man iam so glad there are some Code-along videos for C++. The worst thing about tutorials is, that they tell how to do it but not why this might be used. Thy show you an example "say we have class foo and function bar" yeah your example is "foo" and then something.

Thank you Mr. Early for this series. I am just getting into C++ and learning the fundamentals. Your series looks to really help me get rid of my weak understanding of polymorphism and inheritance. My ultimate goal is to program a Pathfinder d20 system RPG, inspired by OwlCat's Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous. I felt they got some things right, but not enough that it really felt like a Pathfinder table-top game. So my aim is to fully translate all Pathfinder mechanics faithfully into a video game.

I am really liking your tutorial! I am currently working towards my BAS in programming just to help me get a job easier but I want to make games, whether it's simple mobile games or with a studio. I've tried various tutorials and different game engines, but so far your tutorial has been the best one. You're straight to the point, but you also explain things along the way and are keeping it simple to start so it's not overwhelming. I hope you continue to make videos because I hope to learn a lot from you and pass that knowledge on to future programmers. :)
