Goodmorning! I was a guest on your show on 8/26. Anyway I called the reporter with channel 3 news in Shreveport to let them know we were going to protest the CPS bldg in Shreveport La. Reason being is because they supervisor casa worker and case worker along with the foster parents decided that they were all going to give the foster parents guardianship when we go to court on September 14. I planned to protest against this and the fact that they will not give me my grandchildren or just give them back to my daughter. My daughter has done nothing wrong. She has a place to live and she has a job and she has a car and she is a very good mother to her children. apparently I’m not sure about this but I believe that channel 3 news called CPS. So on Wednesday when my daughter went to meet the children for counseling, the caseworker told my daughter that they decided that they are not going to give the foster parents guardianship. Instead, they are going to set a goal whatever that means. I also took your advice, and I am appealing the ICPC decision. I was basically told that there was really not an appeal for that but I could write an email and they would basically look over it. As I stated in the beginning, before I ever filed this, ICPC, the Casa volunteer told my daughter that I wasn’t going to get the kids. They already had it in their mind not to give me the children. So all I did was waste a whole bunch of time and effort not to mention, I had to obtain an Arkansas drivers license whenever I just got my Texas drivers license renewed because I’m staying in Arkansas right now. The only other thing I know to do is get an attorney and I spoke to you about that. I’m expecting some money and as soon as I get it, I will be hiring an attorney to go forward with all of this. I also feel like a protest might do some good with all of this too, because I think that the media would put this out there and all of this would be exposed.

I work for Fresno County DSS. They now have Protective Custody Warrants. These warrants allow the Social Worker to take children from their parents without law enforcement placing a 300 hold on the child. All they now have to do is fill out a petition and have a judge sign it. This in my opinion can lead to abuse by CPS as Law Enforcement has an opportunity to see what is happening, whereas a judge only has the word of the Social Worker.

I am in court case in State West Virginia. The children are at a very high risk where they are at now. The father had been found guilty of neglect and abuse of the step brother of my children. But yet I still have to bring the children back to him. I have filed for custody and the court still have yet to give me a day to be heard. I feel like I would be collecting my children to leave them there. I have tried attorneys I have called eight different attorneys and paid one attorney who never showed up in court once out of 5 quart cases. I am just frustrated and lost with what to do. If anyone has help I am throwing out please fly. This is taking place in Hancock County West Virginia.

We need HELP so badly! DHS lied and mischaracterized so many of the complex dynamics and situations in our house. The kids were taken away for "imminent threat of danger", which is INSANE and makes zero sense, even in the court of law I believe. Is there a such thing as an attorney who can overturn these decisions and get the kids back immediately? Damage is being done immensely on these kids, due to the separation and nature of their current household dynamic, but everyone just keeps showing us the path of least resistance rather than what we need. These kids are very special needs psychologically and intellectually. We want the resources to do our job better. We want the specialized counseling to improve the kids' chance at success. We've wanted it all this time and begged for it on many occasions. But they take the kids away, start making them regress HORRIBLY, and don't give us a voice to show the OBVIOUS mistake they've made

Please, if you can get this to someone who can make it a reality, we badly need this kind of legislation!
"Child Protection Sincerity Act"

1-Drastically increase funding for child protective services.

2-Require mandatory psychological screening for any and all caseworkers hired as to help ensure that dangerous personality disorders like Narcissistic personality disorder is less likely to endanger a family.

3-Require an increase in the number of caseworkers sufficient for handling caseloads so the caseworkers can spend the necessary amount of time conducting a competent investigation rather than a rushed one that can ultimately endanger children and families.

4-Increase caseworker pay

5-Require DCS caseworkers to always wear a body camera on any and all interactions with people related to the case they are working and mandate that their word be taken as nothing more than hearsay if they do not have video evidence. Make sure that this also offers caseworkers exemptions from wire tapping and surveillance laws.

6-Increase funding of child protective service watchman programs like DCS Ombudsman program and make them mandatory for each state.

7-Grant the Ombudsman programs the ability and funding to get families who request such an in home surveillance system for helping disprove neglect and/or abuse claims while also holding the DCS accountable.

8-When both parents state they do not want their children to go to a specified individual, make this enforceable and a wish that the DCS has to respect.

9-Create a system where the DCS can be taken to court through the use of an easy to fill out form to have their claims assessed on request of the parents, make this so that the parents can choose their lawyer and only have to pay their lawyer themselves if they fail to provide evidence of misconduct, deception, omission of critical details, incompetency, and/or malicious behaviors. Utilize the child support payment system as to ensure these lawyer fees are paid out if this occurs and the parents who failed to prove such are the ones paying.

10-Mandate that caseworkers rely on the guidance of professionals for various things such as fire fighters for advising on fire safety standards or consultation with a child's school as a means to learn about the child's behaviors and allow the failure to rely on such to be reported via the system described on #9.

11-Require that all DCS/CPS claims are backed by evidence rather than hearsay.

12-Allow #9 to also cover for handling conflicts of interest.

I am a grandparent of 3 kids in foster care. 2 are in the process of reunification with my daughter(mom). I was wondering does my daughter have rights to the files or paperwork that cps has on her case? I read something that seemed to say she did, but want to make sure before we proceed that we do in fact have a right. Like many cases, this has been such a nightmare and I have been studying things online lately and found you and wish I had the knowledge I have now before. We are in the state of Oregon.

Hello Mr. Davis, If you see my comments please sir I really need your help and advice. My 6yrs daughter and 2yrs son was taking CPS. They have no proof of anything. My daughter was Manipulate, nervous, confuse, bride and traumatize by these three person, which: CPS, Detective, and most of the person who interview my daughter. I feel they violate my our civic rights.
