French here, with allegedly one of the best healthcare in the world.
Its a myth. Our health care system is deeply flawed, and is one of the worst thing for our economy, putting us in debt like crazy. Its overcrowded, ive personally stayed in the hallways of the hospital with a gaping wound for 27 hours. People die waiting in these hallways. Doctors and nurses don't get their extra hours payed, are understaffed, lack equipment and beds, etc...
She doesn't know what she is talking about.

Absolutely right. I'm around 40 percent native American, all of my relatives a generation ahead of me all left reservations and had much better outcomes than those who stayed.

I'm not an especially high earner compared to a lot of Americans but here in the UK the government has consistently stolen over 50% of what I earn each year. And the 'free' public services are terrible.

What these people never seem to grasp is that SOMEONE is always paying for the "free" benefits... As a disabled person, I only get $400 a month from the state to pay bills and raise my daughter. I get $500 a month to feed both of us for the month. And I absolutely HATE it because I have to tell her she can't have something she wants almost all the time. I've been fighting for Social Security for 11 years.

It doesn't "work just fine". I'm from Canada and we have a great "sickcare" system. You need to be bleeding from the eyes or complaining of chest pain OR wait 4-8 hours to be seen. The funds are used up every year while the monopolistic system gags for more. It moves just quick enough to ensure our citizens don't revolt and if you think it's "FREE", have a look at my pay cheque. It's FAR from free and FAR from good.

In the extremes of socialism we get the USSR where people wait in lines for food and get kilt by their own government. And when we get the extremes of capitalism we get company towns were one person owns everything controlling work conditions that cause countless people to die in return for their own profits. We need a balance.

I lived at the Grand Canyon where there were many Native Americans. I worked for a helicopter sight seeing business. The Native Americans got free rides out of their reservation in the canyon and then back in. They always came out with their paychecks and went back in penniless and drunk.
Those that lived at the rim and worked werent drunks but wanted to make something of themselves working for “the man”. Just kinda tells you that the reservations only keep them down and out.

"I'm not talking about Vermont or Native American reservations", she wants the things that were attempted or still tried in America, but wants the same thing that is provided but in a European way. Then go to Europe and get that coverage. Vermont had to stop it's universal health care because the state couldn't afford to keep doing it.. after 3 years. Tell me again, who is the Senator from Vermont that wants Universal Health Care?

Uk here and no our healthcare system is not fine. Its a shambles. You are lucky if get an appointment with a gp within a few days. Then if you manage to convince them that you need to see a specialist. Which can take at least 6 months to a year. Then if you need an operation, you can add at least another 6mo to a year. And if they mess it up and you 'get lost in the system '. It's back to the end of the queue. It's only good for major injuries through accidents.
