This Mod Improves the Logitech G29 and G920

Today I’ll be looking at and giving my thoughts on three individual modifications for the Logitech G series wheels. A formula style wheel rim add-on, a magnetic paddle shifter attachment, and a mod to improve the feel of the brake pedal.

I wouldn't get this for the G29 since it's quite expensive, and the G29, like you mentioned, does not even benefit from it. Due to lack of strength probably.
However, I have the same rim for the Thrustmaster T-GT wheel and other than the stitching issue you mentioned, it does not have any of the aforementioned drawbacks since it sits flush with the wheel, i.e no lost buttons, no flex..etc.
A major advantage of it for the T-GT is the faster response, added details and stronger force feedback since the carbon fibre rim weighs less than a 3rd of the metal rim on the T-GT! This reduces any dampening effects due to the mass of the rim. The difference is rather big there, which is why I kept it even if I am not a fan of GT style rims. If anyone is thinking about it, stay clear of the suede version unless you want to wear gloves as it discolours like crazy and is more expensive.

I use the magnetic shifter mod, the GTEYE 2 stage brake spring and the ACELITH GT3 rim. The rim is way better than the 3D Rap one. Also MVH Studios makes a really nice wheel rim also.

Is it possible to fit in the wheel without spacer? The shape and holes looks like it could sit flush against the base. I know acelith's one are cut to fit into the ridge of the base like a stock wheel.

Edit: looked at their website, seems like the spacer is needed
