I could tell that the Ident would've creeped out lots of children, so it'd make sense for the BBC to have not used that ident on air.

I think this unused Christmas ident is used for comedy and CBBC (used on Saturdays) programmes.

I think this ident should be used this year as the addition of curve idents due to corporate BBC rebrand.

I think this went unused because of what two things depicting female breasts, but it doesn’t represent BBC 2
