Amazing how barrel moves and rest of the machine stands still. Especially being such a large caliber. Love it

I live near Fort Bragg in the US. I can hear the thundering booms of the M777 / 155mm every day as we train the Ukrainian solders on our howitzers. We are taking very good care of your men. They are getting the best combat training in the world. We stand behind you friends!

Thanks for showing both ends... lots of videos show how troops fire the M777, but not many show the kaboom at the end...
Of course, what type of shells being used alters the impact, but it is good to see that it is working...

I love the “finger in the ear” trick. Works all the time. It’s super loud at first, and it kinda hurts, but after that, can’t hear a damn thing at all!

I live about 40 miles from Fort Sill Army Base in Oklahoma and you can hear the booms from them firing, Ft. Sill is an artillery and training base.

I was at Bragg in the 90s. We were doing a all day ruck movement by squads in the summer it was utterly exhausting. Our water resupply was at Sicily DZ. We got our water and kept moving. Somewhere, not sure where its been many years, we were on a fire break when the whole world came to an end. Palladians fired over us from about 50 yards away. They had that camo netting over them. I thought we stepped on a landmine. I don't know or remember if we were somehow in the wrong place or both of us were in the right place. Imagine a 155mm going off and you're not behind it and you don't know its there.

Is this Ft. Sill? I just remember all through basic was the constant "thump" of 155mm and 105mm shells in the distance. Ft. Sill, home of the artillery.

Ho lee, I swear it looks like you can put a glass of water on that thing and it wouldn't spill. For those who use(d) this weapon I wonder what you think aboot the Rheinmetal new 1000 RPM 76mm, How in the world are those barrels taking that
