teaching a nervous/fearful dog how to swim..the dog just came in for a board and train and is very nervous around many sounds,sights and movement. we have trained many dogs how to swim this way with almost 100% success..within days dogs will just jump into the water..the goal is to always teach the dog how to get out of the pool..within minutes this dog was doing great..it is okay to apply pressure on the dog.
