I know there's definitely something I'm missing but it sure looks like you're filling waterways where things like fish breathe by pulling water through their gills with tiny razor sharp shards of glass

But making new bottles from old takes far less energy than making new glass and you use a digger to fill bags with sand from that shoreline in a fraction of the time so you could get more done.

Brilliant, thank you for explaining, and showing the restoration in Louisiana.

If more SILT was allowed to flow down the Mississippi, this would not have to be done, or at a much lesser extent.

I do my part and only drink bottled beer. The aluminum cans have a plastic lining so that the fluids don’t corrode the aluminum. I’m pretty sure you’re gonna get a little bit of that BPA in there.

Won’t this just get stuck in my feet ?

sand shortage you say? better stock up on some barrels for the inevitable bull run.

This is not truly sand in the geological sense, as the chemical structure of the silica has been altered during the process of making glass and is not returned to its original state. So this is just crushed glass

If this is sand similar to the sand they use in construction/cement, why not save them the bother taking sand, and you not taking sand all the way to beaches, by just taking the recycled sand to be used in the production of what we use sand for?

Cool. Less stuff in the landfills, you’ve given the lake sand & a habitat for lives (after the plants take root)

No idea if it's a good idea to put sharp things to build coastline. The tiny particles of glass when it gets to the lungs of human beings will be fatal.

land so expensive, you rather build some than buy it

Do your part to repair damage caused by humans. Smash some beer bottles at the beach.

Actually. Every individual should play a part but you people are great.

Whenever I see these foundations and whatever else start up I just always feel that in the end, it's all about profit.

Yeah, individuals can't make a difference. Once there's many of them, they're no longer individuals but a collective 😂

I hate to bust your bubble but the efforts of a dozen people DO NOT make a difference...and will not stop nature from the future wrath we humans created. Sad😢
