22 Hz - Beta waves – Binaural Beats
150 Hz - Base Frequency

Beta (β) waves or Beta rhythm oscillates between 12 Hz to 38 Hz range, which is sub-divided into 3 categories namely Low Beta (12.5-16 Hz), Beta waves (16.5-20 Hz), and High Beta (20.5-38 Hz). The Beta waves are usually associated with our normal waking states of consciousness and happen when the focus is directed on cognitive tasks.

The usage of Beta waves may help promote concentration and alertness. Similar to Alpha waves, the beta waves were also discovered by Hans Berger, the famous German Psychiatrist, who invented electroencephalography (EEG) in 1924. Beta waves are present over the remaining frontocentral areas of the scalp besides the regions described under the alpha waves. However, the higher end of the range may induce a state of anxiety to some due to monotonous thought patterns.

What are Brain Waves?

A human brain consists of billions of neurons in various regions that utilize electricity as a way to communicate with one another. The synchrony of your firing synapses creates a unified neural network of millions of neurons marching in one direction connected to a particular state of consciousness and emotion.

This formation of synchronized electrical activity in the brain due to its cyclic and wave-like nature is termed a "Brain Wave". It can be detected using medical equipment, such as electroencephalogram (EEG), which a German physiologist and psychiatrist Hans Berger discovered back in 1924. The device can measure the oscillation of electricity levels in various areas on the scalp.

What are Binaural Beats?

For example: If you listen to a tone of 100 Hz in your left ear and a tone of 105 Hz in your right ear, your brain will automatically perceive an illusory tone and produce a new frequency of 5 Hz (105 – 100 = 5 Hz). This third tone is called a binaural beat. The brain automatically aligns the brainwaves to this different tone.

What is the usage of Binaural Beats?

It can be best experienced via earphones, binaural beats have a variety of usages right from improving sleep, focus, meditation, overcoming depression, reducing stress levels, lowering anxiety, increase self-confidence, awareness, creativity, positive thinking, lucid dreaming, chakra activation, astral projection, healing, tinnitus, and insomnia, etc.
