I can understand wanting to date someone as successful as you are, or at least having a preference. That isn’t the issue. The issue is how she worded it makes her sound like a gold digger. Her asking for the guy's bank account info on the first date doesn’t help either. Also, letting someone's wealth determine whether or not you want to spend time with them when you've just met the person is extremely snobby.

I don’t think this is a gold digger as much as it’s someone who has a LOT of classism. She may be a gold digger too, but her justification is that she’s higher in the social hierarchy, so she only wants to date ppl who are also high up in said hierarchy. To me this is just straight classism and prob a superiority complex over those who make less
