Multivariable Linear Regression in SPSS (SPSS Tutorial Video #26)

Показать описание
In this video, I explain how to conduct a multivariable linear regression in SPSS. I walk through the key assumptions that need to be checked, most critically, heteroskedasticity. I also show you how to interpret all the results including standardized and unstandardized beta coefficients. I also discuss how you can avoid Type 1 Error (False Positives) by using a Bonferroni Correction.

This SPSS tutorial series is designed to teach you the basics of how to analyze and interpret the results of data using SPSS. I will cover everything from the very basics of the main windows within SPSS, to manipulating data, to running and interpreting meaningful analyses like t-tests, ANOVA, regression, and many more, and visualizing results.

Hi Professor, kindly note that this is a Multiple Regression not a Multivariate Regression. Thanks.

Hi,

This tutorial was about "Multiple Linear Regression" Not Multivariate Linear Regression.

There are three types of regression:
Simple: one dependent and one independent variable.
Multiple: One dependent and more than one independent variable.
Multivariate or Multivariable: more than one dependent and some independent variable.

Sincerely.

Hello, thank you for the super informative video. I have a question: if I hypothesize priori that in a multiple regression with 6 variables one of the variables will predict the outcome controlling for the other 5, do I just report the p-values or would I need a Bonferroni Correction still? It would be of great help for an analysis I'm conducting. Thank you in advance!

I get confused on the use of t, c.r. and z values on regression results, please clarify the similarities

Thank you so much prof., for your very clear video. I am trying to run an analysis on a dependent variable that changes over a span of 2 years while I analyse the effect of two independent variables on the dependent variable. (depression at baseline is 100%, changes in depression after 2 years) I think i need to correct the dependent variable at baseline before I start my analysis but I don't know how. HELP please!!!!

Hi, What version of SPSS do you use in this tutorial video? Thanks.

what would be the interpretation if the unstandardized beta coefficient is negative .

Hello, Do you have a reference I can use for justifying why I have done the Bonferroni correction? Thanks so much for your video

Hi sir currently I'm doing multivariate regression due to have 1IV and 2 DV but there's no any interpretation available on internet. Is there any example 😭😔
