Your videos are a godsend, thank you! I just don't get why some textbooks refuse to come with a simple explanation of their definitions in natural language - it's not immediately clear to me from the mathematical definitions which elements are the glb and lub of a set.

for the first example, can we only infer that g is an upper bound of {b, d, g} and b is a lower bound of {b, d, g} because the diagram is a poset? if we had no information on the nature of the relation would we still be able to say that the reflexivity is maintained and that every element is realted to itself?
