Ronald Rowe, the acting director of the Secret Service, said a warning about a gunman just before the attempted assassination of former President Trump didn't reach his agents because they were not able to hear radio communications from local police. Rowe also blamed the failure on separate command posts used by police and the Secret Service. NBC News' Julia Ainsley reports.

When the secret service is in charge of security, claiming that warnings never reached them is just admitting that the secret service failed their job even harder.

Everybody saw the guy, but you guys you’re supposed to be trained in this what is wrong stop making excuses. This is ridiculous. You are trained and protecting people and should know the signs for all of it. You failed and you should be let go.

Liars. They knew what was going on. Stop trying to tell us one thing when we know what is going on.

Biden suddenly quit shortly after they missed Trump.

Even so, no one but the Secret Service bears responsibility for this epic failure. Currently, they are behaving as if no one can hold them accountable.

Save your lies. We all figured it out on our own fairly quick. Your plot failed

It was obvious from the beginning that there was no meshing of intelligence in the most critical moments.

Who does the SS actually serve? They "lost" hundreds of threats against Kennedy in Dallas, lost all texts about Jan 6 and now this.

Secret service should never think they're above the local law enforcement & don't need to be on the same page & having the responsibility for securing the area & protecting whoever, nobody should've died that day except the shooter.

There's no way their lack of communications between local authorities and USSS is as bad as they claim and is something standard they need to fix. They have better communication at Walmart.
If their standards are that low, they just showed the entire world how weak and disorganized they are, and that's a very bad thing.

Maybe, given DJT was almost assassinated by one of your own, it’s time to consider gun control instead of blaming the Secret Service?

Maybe if you can’t keep a presidential candidate safe it exposes how horrific gun violence in our country really is?

Starting from high up, they never gave adequate consideration to protecting Trump

Absolute disgrace for not being able to do the basics. Communications is number one within the different law enforcement agencies working any event, especially with the secret service. Are you telling me that they do not test the communications before an event.

Couldn’t they find a well qualified black woman for Director?
