Not only have national rates of gun ownership skyrocketed over the past few years, but Ohio passed Constitutional Carry in 2022, and a 2024 report from the Ohio Attorney General’s office found that violent crime rates had fallen by between 18%-22% in 6 of Ohio’s 8 largest cities. Previously, rates had been on the steady rise year after year in the state, and following the passage of this law, rates suddenly just dropped. You can say correlation doesn’t equal causation, but I think that, at this point, that’s just playing Devil’s Advocate.

Pattern recognition used to be a darwin thing

It's sad how true this argument actually is. You inverse their own argument and feed it back to them and the world explodes.

(Pro 2A here) The phrase "correlation =/= causation" is true in some cases, but it's consistently misused as a way to shut down arguments where they have no other rebuttal. Kind of like asking for a source when you don't actually want one, but instead just want the other person to stop talking.

You actually think the more guns the less crime ?

I understand why some people may be disturbed by him, but I feel like we should give props to the transgender guy because he didn’t deny that they might be a link between him being transgender and him experiencing trauma and abuse growing up
