I really like your thoroughness. You are the only contractor video I have seen that actually shows a humidity meter.

Nice and simple if you've got no doors to go through or protrusions such as fire places etc. What about removing the skirting boards?

One thing the guy forgot to mention is if he is installing this as floating floors or fixed nail/glue to the subfloor. With Engineered wood flooring, I understand it is not floating, it should be fixed to the subfloor via nail or staple on the lips or glue if concrete below. BYOT videos shows these engineered wood flooring as fixed, not floating. If the uploader or anyone else knows, can you please write if it should be floating or fixed. One thing I did noticed at end of video 14:00 he showed a trim scotia bead, and he said to allow any movement to happen. (I thought Hybrid or SPC or laminate flooring is floating because the material is different to below wood so when wood expands or contracts with temperature it will not pull apart)

Are these manufacturing guidelines just specific to the floor you have or apply to any sort of engineered wood flooring?

Helpful tips on layout considerations. But have to say, pretty poor quality flooring - both ends along the length were curling in the air and only the application of the molding bead would be holding it down, which is far from ideal. I suspect that over larger areas, it would be prone to 'springing' as you walk over it. With material that had that issue, I think I'd be more likely to glue it down, although personally, would spend a bit more to get a better quality product.
