Swiss Travel Pass is by far the best option, if you rent a car and return it after two weeks it will cost you over 40k INR in high season which is not cheap. But with the pass you get free rides in Panoramic trains like Luzern - Interlaken Express (reservation not needed), Glacier Express (reservation needed), Bernina Express (res. needed), Gotthard Panorama (res needed), Volarpen Express (res not needed) etc. Free entry to many museums, free mountain excursions in Rigi, Stanserhorn and Stoos, 25-50% for other mountain excursion like Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Gornergrat etc.

In my personal opinion, do NOT miss the train journeys for driving. You'll miss a lot. The best way to see Switzerland is by train.

Swiss Pass is one of the best options and recommended pass to visit Switzerland. We visited on the first week of October. It's very easy and all the rail staff are very friendly and so helpful.
