As much as I loved Toy Story 4, I was still a little disappointed I Lost My Body didn't win the Oscar for best animated feature.

Saw this in my French class, I was the only person who really liked it. Such beautiful animation- definitely deserved best animated picture.

The part that haunted me was Noufael talking through the intercom with her, asking her what the view was like from those heights, and then looks at his bike in the rain. It still gets me when I think about it.
And the part where the hand makes the igloo out of ice cubes. Just hauntingly beautiful.

Don't get me wrong Klaus' animation was amazing but its overall story was just about being kind to others. I Lost My Body is a story about loss and coming to terms with it, not to mention the animation was beautiful.

I saw this film in 2019 in a typical french theatre in Paris (Luxor), alone. And at the end of this projection, I was like speechless, just focus on what happened and just grateful of what I just feel.
5 years later, I just watch this masterpiece again, on Netflix, with my mom, best experience ever.

Look, I love Pixar and I enjoyed "Toy Story 4" immensely but, man, it's an absolute CRIME that this didn't win Best Animated Feature Film at the Academy Awards this year. It's one of my favorite films of last year and one of my all-time favorite animated films. The story and art are absolutely breathtaking.
