I saw America's Test Kitchen's demo. Their findings were that there is no difference between D5 and D3 from All Clad, except price.

That Sardel pan will spin in your hands when pouring, especially if your hands are wet or if you are using a towel or hotpad. The All Clad handle stays cool and you rarely need a hotpad, and it never slips because it has a groove along the top of the handle that holds spoons and spatulas, and allows you to place your thumb on top which prevents it from spinning. The All Clad D3, 3 ply is also about the same price as the Sardel with better features and warranty. It's the top rated skillet in numerous reviews, in both pro and amateur kitchens.

I have the All Clad D3 12" pan. Love it. I expect my great grandchildren will love it as well.

There’s also all-clad d3, which is only $30 more than the Sadel, and you get all the customers service benefits with all-clad. It’s consistently rated 1st place by America’s Test Kitchen

All-clad made in the USA, Pennsylvania to be exact. Quality that will last like cast iron, and supports USA workers. The only way to go in my book.

I tried to really get into cast iron but it's heavy. And I'm old lol!! Stainless steel for me. Besides it's prettier than cast iron.

the All Clad D3 12' is $129 and a great pan for the value. On America's test kitchen they rated it highest and said stay away from the bonded base pans and that the 5 ply is a waste of money and offers little additional value

Worked at crate and barrel and food stuff's in the 1980ies. Purchased all clad use it every day I cook a lot. The pans are just as beautiful as they were when I purchased them.
I do not let anyone touch them. I heat them first then add oil or butter. I NEVER use high heat. Med heat is perfect. I never clean them right away I let them cool. They are all stainless NO nonstick! Because I heat them first nothing ever sticks to them. They make cooking a joy. They were worth every penny I paid. Over 30 years of service and they look brand new.
Calphalon pan not so great. Same age as all clad pans over 30 years old. Paid $75.00 in 1980 something for a frying pan. Warped bottom, dark steel finish almost gone. Terrible!! Never again.
I also have pans from a company called copco, cast iron with enamel finish. French company I think. I love love love them. Fantastic for omelettes. Again heat pan first med heat, eggs slide right off. Love love love. Then there are the Dansk pots and pans they are visible beautiful incredible design, they are my princess pans. They look beautiful on the table but not a work horse like all clad and copco. But they sure look beautiful. They just look good. Best looking stock pot ever. You can make and serve in the same vessel for casual or formal dinning. But not for every day. But they are beautiful!

All-Clad has fantastic initial quality. But god forbid you actually need them to honor that “lifetime warranty”. My customer service experience really soured me on the brand.

If you buy Sardel, it’s going to take atleast a month to get your pan. It ships from Italy. I had a pretty negative experience with the pans I received from them . Both had deep scratches when they arrived. Which was disappointing because I waited so long to get them. I never had that problem with my all clad. That being said; their customer service appears to be pretty good. I loved the feel of the pans but I’ll likely send them back and stick to all clad to avoid the hassle. Unfortunate.

I was looking for the health benefits of stainless steel cookware compared to cookware made of other materials.

Ordered the Sardel full set during BF and am impressed so far. I just did not like the All-clad handles from their D3 classic line whatsoever.

Demeyere Atlantis isn't on this list so don't waste your time. The All-Clad D-5 warps just like the rest of All-Clad pans.

This video doesn't delve into type of stainless steel grade 304 or 316 etc.

Besides it doesn't discuss about food grade of the cookware which I believe is the most important point of the whole video.
