This is amazing because it basically reveals that all colors have a value. The thing is, using an app like this takes the guessing out of getting the value right. You are left to just choose a color in the same value. Essentially, you move the color picker up and down, never left and right, after clicking on the original color from the picture. The problem is, I'm a traditional oil painter and have to guess how light or dark a color is to begin with. Let's say I'm trying to change a green to pink. I have no idea how to get two colors to be the same value in real life. That is very hard to see! The app does this for you. If you have any tips on that, that would be so helpful! Right now I can easily tell values in black and white, but trying to see if a green is lighter than a red, so much harder.
