It's odd how many parallels there are between Bumblebee and Starscream, yet we barely see them interact. Even here, Bumblebee is just a figment of Starscream's imagination.

This run dose something that not many properties do: explore SS's behavior, mindset, from HIS perspective. No matter what he dose, no matter what he accomplishes, life tears it away, be it in the form of Megatron, their pre-war society, or a really bad ice storm. So why make attachments, why get close to anyone? Better to keep them at arms length, or longer, preferable with a blaster, and keep striving for so-called selfish gains. Better to choose to be alone, then to be abandoned, or have those you care about be ripped from you. It reminds me of the motto of Timone and Pumba: "When the world turns its back on you, you turn your back on the world", except SS DOSE care about Cyberton, he doesn't turn his back on the planet, maybe the individual, but if he stopped to help everyone, no big picture would get done, and try as he might, he DOSE care about a select few, if only bc they are useful and he see them so much, but then Bumblebee got "killed" and started haunting him, Wingblade comes in preaching morals, and she gets hurt, reinforcing the "being nice is stupid and being near me is unlucky, just leave me alone" mindset, and just as he admits to this philosophy, Bumblebee, leaves too. This SS needs a hug. But through his self sabotage, real sabotage, and the universe continuing having it out for him, I don't think he ever gets one.

For anyone who says they feel bad for him wait to u see the IDW spotlight comic about megatron being rebuilt over 3 years that’s the most depressing version of starscream

Bee's got a point. It makes ya think how Starscream could've been loved even AFTER war's end. Starting with being tolerated. Look at Megatron. For fans and character's he's associated with (At this time anyway). Point is, this series delves into the psyche of the characters involved and how war affects them.

To be fair, Starscream is the most disliked Transformer on either side. If anything the Autobots respect him more than the Decepticons (hence in some versions he tries to change sides). It's no wonder he was so desperate to be Decepicon leader and Lord Emperor of Cybertron, it's the only way to get him the status he's been deprived of since he left the Cybertron War Academy. It most be so lonely being Starscream.
