Not only did you answer my question, but you answered a few others that I didn't even know I had. And I only watched the first 5 minutes! Thank you very much, that was very informative.

thank you so much!!!! my teacher preferably wanted us to get these calculators, so I did. however my friend got a Casio calculator and he was able to turn his decimals into fractions and like everyone was really jealous. I became determined to figure out how to do this on the Texas Instruments calculator and become the math class hero! thanks to you that can happen!

Try adding or subtracting a percentage. You'll get this: 500 + 20% = 500.20, not the correct 600. Somewhere along the way Texas Instruments broke percentage handling in their calculators. My old '03 TI-36X Solar does it the easy way, but my '11 TI-36X Pro and '13 TI-30XIIS both force the user to add/subtract percent manually when $1 pocket calcs don't. Math students should learn how anyway, but once you do, it's irritating to go the long way every time.

How many memories does this calculator have? I use the TI-30XA and it has three - which is very handy for doing long stats calculations before you earn the step of using SAS or SPSS.
