On July 21, controllers at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory lost contact with Voyager 2, the iconic spacecraft that has been exploring the outer reaches of our solar system for over 46 years. It is currently about 20 billion kilometers away from Earth. To communicate with Earth, Voyager 2 uses a high-gain antenna that must be pointed precisely at our planet. However, on July 21, 2023, a series of commands sent by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) caused Voyager 2 to lose its alignment with Earth by two degrees. This means that the data that Voyager 2 is transmitting cannot be received by the ground stations on Earth. Voyager 2 is not in any danger and it is still functioning normally. It has an onboard system that automatically corrects its orientation every few months to maintain contact with Earth. The next correction is scheduled for October 15, 2023, so until then, Voyager 2 will not be able to communicate with us

This video was done extremely well! Typically, you'd expect to see this type of quality on channels with 100s of 1000s of subscribers and views. This was recommended to me randomly and I'm glad I watched it. Keep up the good work and you'll grow in no time!

Soon, deep space satellites will use quantum entanglement to send and receive messages back to Earth instantaneously.
