One solution is for these company’s to stop being greedy and actually pay decent money for experienced, plumbers, bricklayers and carpenters etc

They should ban off plan and then every new build house should have a mandatory independent inspector and then all the problems should reduce the price of the property and potentially if the problems are so severe banks and buyers should refuse to buy it.

My family have been considering buying a new build and although we knew they had issues I never guessed it was as bad as this!

Built a deck a couple weeks ago. Every post I set was nice and level. The Posts my boss did for the handrail on the stairs were not close to level at all and I told him multiple times they were not level. He didn't bother to level them up and proceeded to have me pour concrete in the hole and left them that way. I will be finding a different job sometime this year I can't work with someone that just doesn't care if things are right or not.
