How to Tell the Difference Between Nephrite and Jadeite Jade

Color is the biggest indicator in differentiating between nephrite jade and jadeite jade. The imagery in this video will give you a frame of reference for the different colors, inclusions, and lusters of the two jades. However, this video is no replacement for gemological testing and does not explain how to differentiate jade from simulants or how to tell if jade has been treated.
