I would want Tim Walz. <3 It is not just about one state, it is about the entire country and who is relatable to everyone. Tim Walz is warm, friendly, the kind of wise uncle you'd call when you need advice. Has worked in manufacturing, agriculture, is a teacher and a veteran. A true man of the soil. This is the winning ticket.

I don't know who she will pick but my favorites are Buttigieg and Walz.

Van Jones falsely suggests that opposition on the left to Josh Shapiro as s VP pick is somehow connected his Jewishness. It's not.

To quote David Klion in a piece he recently penned for the New Republic:

"Shapiro stands out among the current field of potential running mates as being egregiously bad on Palestine. It’s not just that he, like many Democrats, is an outspoken supporter of Israel—though he certainly is, having championed Israel’s war against Hamas consistently and without any apparent concern for Palestinian civilians. Shapiro has done far more than most Democrats to attack pro-Palestine antiwar demonstrators, in ways that call into question his basic commitment to First Amendment rights."

Shapiro's commitment to public education has also been legitimately questioned.
(Edit: And I just found out today he's pushing for corporate tax cuts in PA. Execrable!)

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz carries none of this baggage. He has recently been endorsed by both progressive Bernie Sanders and centrist Nancy Pelosi. This is the very definition of a consensus candidate. Passing over Walz would be a grave mistake and would discourage precisely the people Harris needs to ensure her victory over Trump.

I'd get Pete in as Secretary of State.

Tim Walz or nothin'! Young voters are against the war on Palestine. Shapiro and Kelly are the wrong choices.

West coastie here: I've never heard of Walz. Frankly, only Mark Kelly and Pete were folks I heard of before this week. My personal choice is Pete, and since he isn't dragging a swing state behind him, I understand he likely won't be the choice. I'll vote BLUE no matter what. I do wish the media would back off on talking about all the firsts (I will cheer when it happens...at 65 I didn't think I would live long enough to see the country finally elect a woman....of ANY ethnicity). What we CRAVE on the blue side is SANITY...and to still be living in a democracy in 2025.

NO to Pritzker though. I have had enough of billionnaires in office.

CNN hasn't learned that Van Jones isn't connected with the black community.

Pelosi and Bernie both endorsed Walz. Anybody else would be divisive and unity is needed right now. Shapiro is incredibly reckless. Not brave..

Love how Chump uses the “they want open borders” when HE was the one who voted down the bi-partisan bill that would have helped because he wanted to run his campaign on “the border problem.” He doesn’t want things fixed, he wants to criticize for his maga 🐑 base. Just incredible. 🗳💙💙🇺🇸🇺🇸

Whoever got Trump to agree to the Interview deserves a raise. They're clearly working for the DNC 😅

Choosing Shapiro wouldn't be "courageous", it would be reckless and incredibly risky. He's literally the only controversial candidate being considered. You could easily win PA and lose MI. Let's not forget MI isn't far behind PA on electoral college votes.

Pete is great communicator- extremely intelligent and would be an excellent pick.

What I find historic in a very long time isn't that she is a woman, isn't that she is Black and South Asian, it is the fact we have someone running for president that is attracting people that want to vote for her. It seems like forever the choices have come down to who do we want to vote against, it's exciting to have one choice that I could care less about and Harris that I want to vote for.

Number 1 VP pick Walz for me as he has strong Mid West and blue collar appeal with his down to earth style, won house seat in rural district Trump won by +15, veteran, strong on labor, excites younger and female voters with his policies. Strong speaker, coined the “weird” meme. Followed by Beshear and Pritzker. While Shapiro helps with Pen he might hurt Michigan and Wisconsin and parts of the base because of some of the perception against him and his charter school stance. Kelly if you want to go very centrist, which I don't think is the right move, and mediocre speaker. Mayor Pete I don’t think the country is ready for yet unfortunately as well as his McKinsey, Ivy League vibes for blue collar voters.

Tim Walz would be a great choice because of these reasons. He is in his 2nd term. He is well liked he can reach out and connect to the rural community. He can hold his own. Kelly, Beshear, Shapiro and Pritzker are in strong positions. I think they can do more staying where they are protecting Democratic positions. We need them there.

She needs the safest most stable and least controversial person to be the VP. Even if I like Pete or Shapiro both of them have their controversial points. I think Walz is a classic but relatable choice

Need to leave Beshear & Kelly right where they’re at! Need to keep strong, positive popular democrat leadership in their states!!!

A Harris/Walz ticket would actually make me excited to vote!
Shapiro not so much.

We need Pete to stay in Transportation and Kelly in the Senate as to not be replaced with Republicans. MI Governor, unfortunately, the people aren't ready for two women on a ticket or (Pete) a gay man and minority woman. (PA) Shaprio could capture the Jewish vote but had a school scandal last year, which won't go over well with women and the current Isreal situation. MN Gov Tim Watz will by far be the best candidate for VP helping with a swing state.
