My Min Pin is 3.5 years old and is such a joy day in and day out. He’s got boxes 📦 of toys all over the house and loves to play fetch and is fiercely competitive…. Trying to kill any dog that gets in his way. Henny is truly a character and I hope he lives till 20! Let’s go Min Pin nation!!!

I had a black and tan and rust min pin back in the early 1990's. We took them everywhere one of their favorite family outings was to go out on our boat. Fast forward to Dec 2024 a gentleman had two chihuahua's (or so he said) I called him and he had sold one and still had the black and tan one. We met up day after Christmas. He knew I had to have my Chihuahua put to sleep because she had a heart murmur. I walked over to his car, and had the 200.00 he was selling her for. He opened his door and unzipped his jacket and this sweet lil puppy head peeked out at me. He grinned and said will this work? Oh my goodness. She is gorgeous! She was 12 weeks old. She is a ball of energy (I forgot that one) When we get up in the morning, she goes from the time her puppy paws hits the floor til bed time! Named her Lady and she has earned that name easily. Mini Pins are not the puppy that will lay on the couch with you all day, or considered a "Lap Dog". While their beauty exceeds and you might pick out a new pet, make sure the breed is right for you. I am 72 and would have never thought I could keep up with one. When taken to the Vet even she agreed she was a min pin and not a chihuahua. Whomever they bond with and I am so glad she chose me, they will defend them no matter what.

I love Min Pins! I've had them for the last 30 years. I didn't know they were bread from Greyhounds and Dachshund. It makes sense. They have very strong muscular legs. They are super fast and strong to be so little. I don't want any other kind of 4-legged baby. They are great pets for older people that want a companion without a lot of upkeep.

My Pin is 16 going on 17 yrs old in a few months. He acts like he’s 7 yrs old, his hind legs give way sometimes and when we walk him we carry him up and down stairs. Still very alert and always hungry 🤣

My boy Jackson will be 7 in Jan. I adopted him Dec 2020. He's very quirky for sure. Tall and athletic at 9.5 lbs. He is FAST, but at 6ft tall and lean I can usually keep him in sight if I hafta run after him. But that's super rare I have to. Perhaps he caught a whiff of Francheska in the passenger seat going by my home in a little park. I walk him 3x a day.
His ears are whole n tail cropped. I don't have a fence yet 99% of the time he keeps himself within visual or hearing distance. Tough at night with that black fur.
Sasha is 10. Both cropped At 10.5lbs. She joined us May 2023. She's got cataracts so she drives by her nose and ears. She uses the backyard. I hafta keep an eye on her or else that nose/ear will get her lost. Idk if she can find her way back home? So I keep an eye on her. They're both lap dogs. Often sit between my thighs, knees or between me and the armrest of the recliner.
Sissy and Bubby are some pretty cool dogs. But be warned. Very clingy. They need your attention your warmth anytime you're around. They'll even go sit individually on their beds they've placed in front of you and strike poses for attention or just to keep an eye on you. 😅
They can be noisey/vocal too. Just sayin 🤷 ❤❤❤
