The Tamron 28-75 g2 rarely leaves my a7iv body unless it’s in favour of another Tamron usually. They offer such a great array of affordable, quality lenses for Sony.

My Holy Tetrad is the Sigma 16-28mm (love this lens so much...so sharp...sometimes 20mm isn't wide enough for me). The Tamron 28-75 G2 lens. The Tamron 70-180mm. And the Sigma 100-400mm lens (very sharp on my Sony a7riii). Great budget lenses and probably the best bang for the buck with high performance. When traveling light, then I go a different direction. Take the 16-28mm, the Sigma 65mm f2 and the Sigma 90mm. All very compact lenses with great image quality. For portraits I use the Sigma 85 f/1.4 and the Samyang 135 f/1.8..All in all, this system works best for me, but everyone is different, with different needs and different experiences. I thought about the Tamron 35-150mm, but for event work, just wasn't quite wide enough or long enough, so for general event work, I usually go with the 28-75 and 70-180 (very light setup and gives me a bit more coverage at both ends than the 35-150.

bit of overlap in focal lengths. which is good, avoids excessive lens swapping and gives you confidence you can go out for the day with only one lens.

That 35-150 is one of the best lenses, prime or zoom, that I have ever used in my 35-year photo career.

Would love to see a comparison of the 100-400GM to the Tamron duo of their 50-400 and 150-500.

I'm using the dynamic duo, 17-28 and 28-200. Suits my needs perfectly and I love the image quality. Your correct, it's hard to beat Tamron for bang for the buck.
Thanks for the video.

I now use the 50 400 as my go to lens of choice, so pleased that l got it (dithered a lot before getting it). Ticks all the boxes for my landscape / woodland work. The only other lens I now own is the Sony 16 35 F4. Now sold all my other lens, happy days

Ok, I was expecting "17-180 2.8 " trinity. Good job on showing a different kit!

I have the fearsome foursome 17-28; 28-75; 35-150; and 50-400. They all have a role to play and am extremely happy with each one. Price and quality can’t be beat.

Great video! Tamron has some great glass for sure. Using a sony apsc here and very happy with the tamron 11-20, tamron, 17-70, and sony 70-350. not quite a tamron trinity but these work awesome and the image stabilization of the last two lenses are a plus.

Well my pick is Tamron 17-28 2.8 + Tamron 28-75 2.8 (second one if buy today) and Tamron 70-300 (the best lens in terms of wight - focal lenth) All 3 lens about 1.5 kg and you can have all 3 with you all the time. And all 3 for the price about one Tamron 35-150 cost, not exectly but close.

Nice ! I switched from Canon to Sony and bought the Viltrox 16mm f/1.8 and Tamron 28-200. The latter keeps surprising me regarding image quality and sharpness. The lack of image stabilizer means I have to shoot at faster shutterspeeds than normal to get all relevant 61 megapixels sharp. I started using my Sigma 100-400 with a converter but auto-focus speed was too poor and therefore I bought the Tamron 50-400 yesterday. I did have to travel 160km to germany for this as it is 200 euro cheaper there than in my country...

Ha Stefan, Happy New Year I realize I now have assembled my own, lighter weight "Holy Trinity" of Tamron lenses. I already had the amazing 28-200 lens and have just recently acquired the 20-40, (updated to Ver.2) and the very well priced 70-300 which seems to made for my a6500 as well as for my A7C. I can't wait to see how they will perform as a travel kit. I am also thinking that the 20-40 could pair up with my Sony 85f1.8 and cover a lot bases in a small bag.

I hope these lenses are for Panasonic Lumix L Mount cameras, they will be a solid addition to them and us!

I also love the 150-500/600mm range a lot, but true that this lineup is just awesome!

Would love it if tamron did a 12-20mm f2.8
