Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 - Eleven at the police station for hitting Angela

This scene is very real, how innocent people get screwed by the system that was supposed to protect them!

What infuriates me about this scene/plot detail, is that El wasn't provided an attorney, and they simply threw her in the slammer right away. Plus their question "Did you want to kill her?" was an absurd thing to ask.

I feel a lot of people are being too hard on Eleven. She’s been isolated most of her life, was bullied and abused and was going through PTSD because of her experiences in the lab. Of course, she was going to have difficulty here and also those officers really shouldn’t have arrested her anyway as her guardian was not home and she didn’t have a lawyer present. Honestly, the fact that Angela and her equally awful friends gave a one-sided version of these events and the fact that Will, Jonathan and Mike didn’t get to have a say disgusts me. Angela sucks and I do not feel sorry for that brat at all. I hope she ends up isolated and rightfully reviled for what an awful human being she is.

El just has no sense of the subtleties of situations. She thought saying No would be lying.

I mean, all of this (el getting her powers back, saving max from vecna) happened because el answered with “I don’t know” but she should’ve answered with “Because she bullied me and made fun of my dead father.” since she could’ve been free.

How can those officers be so careless and mean to not see El was upset for hitting Angela in a fit of rage?

I wish somewhere in season 5, angela returns with her dad. The dad then calls eleven a freak and hopper jumps on him and punches him in the face.

Grade two concussion?

Bullshit. Getting slammed in the nose wouldn’t give you a concussion.

I had the tension of the way the cops interrogate Eleven... When a cop told her that Angela got a grade 2 concussion, I think the reason Eleven didn't make an upsetting reaction is probably because she doesn't know what concussion is...

But the point is, how does that give the police the right to question a minor without parent/guardian or lawyer present? I get this show is taking place in the 80's but still that's against the law for the police to do that...

And then the lady told the Byers and Mike that they have to have a parent/guardian to bail Eleven out... And that made me pop a vain to hear the Lady say it is the law when the police obviously went against the law... They didn't have the parent/guardian notified about Eleven's arrest...

What stopped her from saying Angela made fun of her by dishonoring hopper being dead, do the police here know and respect him?

I can tell that Eleven was just too scared and ashamed to speak up for herself to the two cops for the reasons why she hit Angela in the face with a roller skate and that Angela was a bully, a complete hypocrite, a selfish jerk and a sour loser deep inside

Out of every scenario in stranger things. This happening bugged me the most, i been through this, and it’s definitely something you dont come back from the same person as before hand. It affects EVERYTHING, even when you physically are free, but your mind is trapped in a place of how you got screwed where people have no soul experience in.

If Eleven was able to explain what happened I wonder what the cops would of said.

Eleven: “I was bullied by Angela and this same group in school and last night they humiliated me in front of everyone in the skating rink including Angela and had a milkshake spilled all over me.”

It will be really cool if at the end of season five, if Eleven happens to go back to California, they use the news that she was in juvie and, since the whole school will know what she did to Angela, everyone, including the other bullies, feel afraid of her now.

I wonder why she didn't tell those 2 cops why she hit her. I thought that only eleven from season 1 sucked so much at speech...
