NAMM 24 Embodme Erae Touch Mk2

At NAMM 2024 we met up with Edgar from Embodme who unveiled the prototype of ERAE II. This new controller offers a range of innovative features, with improved sensitivity being the standout improvement. The playing surface is now covered with a fabric that provides a unique touch and enhances the detection of finger movements. For drummers, the skin can be easily changed to a black silicon material more suited for their playing style.

Aside from the enhanced sensitivity, the ERAE II also boasts dedicated button switches, a new LCD, MPE abilities, and an embedded looper allowing for easy looping and offering quantization options, making it perfect for spontaneous play. The controller also offers connectivity options such as multiple CV gates out and two MIDI outs for analog synths. To control and configure the ERA-2, the companion software ERA Lab is available, offering endless possibilities in terms of mapping and customization.

Exciting to see this developing, and not too far from existing price. Nice, helpful team when you can get their attention, feel they do need to get someone dedicated to customer service. Also hope to see the config app develop more, for v1 as well as this version. I hope they don’t leave the v1 owners behind.

I didn`t get the price, he seemed to stumble over his words when he mentioned the price, I couldn`t understand what he said. Maybe he did it on purpose. Of corse Sonicstate found the price reasonable, rubbing his hands when the till doesn`t stop ringing. Roli also changed the surface of the light blocks pad to become more sensative, it`s the same silicon material, they called it the newer "M" pad whatever that means more expensive of corse.
