I aint going in the woods! I'm a Brit with no connection to Indigenous Americans whatsoever but I'm just fascinated by their folklore. Love these stories, Josh!

Lesson learned. If you're thinking of going out into the wilderness for a bit of peace, best to be packing... a flame thrower.

Hahaha, it always knows when-di-go.

I live near the woods, I am walking around a trail line and listening to your videos, I love this especially at night with a flashlight, I love these folklore stories.

From my admittedly pretty limited experience in the wilderness, I was taught by my father to never investigate a woman's scream or a child's cry without being ready to have to fight a mountain lion. They can closely replicate those sounds to lure humans into a hunt.

Im on the spectrum and I always notice the weird things too. One time I saw a bobcat just chilling, watching us at a campsite. By the time I pointed it got up and just slinked off. Made me look dumb... 😅

I too am not going in the woods. I'm in the process of getting ready to look for acres in the UP MI n go Off Grid. I'm 80 yr old female. Am fearless. Don't scare easy and am level headed. Hope I don't run into anything in my forest. Love your channel, thank you.

Was walking through the woods today lighting up then I thought of this cryptid and at that exact moment thinking i was just being paranoid I heard a freaky ass yelp noise behind me and felt chills. This was a ballpark trail I been on many times.

I live around Lake Huron (🇨🇦), and the "W" is never said out loud . Where I live there's one that lurks in the Forest

I like the shorter format videos. I also like your long videos, a lot. These shorter videos are better for listening to as I am settling in at night, or when I just have less time to indulge in the pleasure of the longer stories.

Thank you for your content, and for sharing your talent as a storyteller with us. You carry on a tradition that stretches back to our earliest human ancestors, and it's a real joy to experience.

Your channel is my go-to during spooky season. You’re like the modern Rod Serling.

Oh... I remember this story.
Bedtime Stories covered this in a video called Lair of the Wendigo.
Yeah, dude's dog bolts near the back of the property, starts going into -"Get the -*-**-*- off of my master's property!"- mode and the guy hears his girlfriend's voice and then his dad's voice from within the woods. The guy proceeds to shine his flashlight at a patch of trees near his '11 O' Clock', and sees a 12 foot tall pasty-white creature strangling one of the trees with a deathgrip standing upright.

I grew up in Kenora, Ontario which in on the same lake!
I have heard dozens of Wendigo stories and enjoyed them all!

Hey Josh, I'd love to say "I ain't going into no woods!", but I just fixed up my little camper that I bought.
I also have two very alert dogs, who love to let me know they heard or saw something. Even at 65, I 'pack' for emergency situations.
I also stay at a campground that is generally full of family friendly, quiet (yeah) other campers. Considering how far up in the woods we're all at, I'm sure others are carrying also.
Love listening to you and your stories, keep 'em comin!
God bless hun, and the rest of you all. Have a great weekend.

The bent stakes is definitely a part of the story written by someone without camping experience.

You can easily bend tent pegs at a 90 degree angle, that you couldnt bend by hand, when stamping them into the ground with your feet. It's actually really easy to do and why you take spares with you.

The guylines or tent fabric would also almost certainly snap or rip under pressure well before the the tent pegs bent too.

.. dude hears THE ONLY GIRL CAMPER scream and doesnt even ask if shes alright? I mean there are millions of possibilities and my anxiety issues could never allow me to ignore someone in distress..

So in the first story, the two men who were in charge of camping with young kids decided to not even check on the only girl when she screamed. Wtf man, these men should not be looking after people's kids! They should have properly looked after the mong told them there was a bloke in the bushes...
