X32 Compact & S16, all 16 XLR outputs routed locally and from the S16 at the same time.

This video is to help people patch or route the S16 digital stage box with the X32 Compact and have all the XLR outs patched correctly. 8 XLR outputs on the X32 Compact and 8 XLR outputs on the S16 give 16 XLR outputs in total. I found it difficult to figure this out so I said I would make this video to help other people in need.

Well that’s a good video because I can see a lot of people getting confused because they don’t realize XLR out means only the local outputs on the board. The message is kind of crazy and maybe there should be a way for it to change but once again it is just letting you know that those outputs are not local and are coming from somewhere else. The only part I can see wrong with your video is the typical ethercon cable. You have to use the shielded EtherCon cable with the barrel type connector otherwise it voids the warranty and can cause damage to your aes50 ports

Thanks for the video. I have to do an install in a couple of months that uses all the outputs on a s32 as monitor mix outs, and I have been using and Allen and Heath sq7 for 2 years, and would have been lost at this point.
