Beautiful piece. Woodworking newbie here. Are you concerned about wood movement across the grain of the edge-jointed top panel? If not - can you please help me understand why? If so - can you please explain how the design will account for seasonal expansion and contraction?

Any reason you used biscuits rather than dominos loose for the miters?

Awesome craftsmanship! It's just that the box is too high, the top is too narrow and the legs are too thick. But that's all personal taste in the end.
