Parrot Waving Hello While Free flying Outside

Practicing outside today with Kiwis high-fives and waving hello. When I make a specific whistle or call him by his name is how I have trained him to come back on demand.
Letting a bird be a bird that’s not caged up all the time is what I feel is right as a bird owner. There are risks with free flying through its a risk im willing to take to allow him to have the best life possible! Feeling free, lots of exercise and will always come back as he’s bonded to us. He also loves his food too much to defend for him self…. Haha

Aaaaw little Kiwi 💙 So precious the way he waves. The only thing about letting him fly freely outside is the possibility of other predator birds spotting him. Hopefully there are no hawks around your area.

Oml. Seeing him flying free was amazing -- and also gave me mild anxiety. There's so many horror stories of birds of prey snatching pets and even more stories of pet birds that got spooked and flew too far away to find their way home on their own.

I don't know where you're located and your love and training of this lovely bird is impeccable. Beware of predator birds. I breed Chihuahuas, I am aware of them. They swoop down silently. Kiwi just warms my heart with every post. I put fluorescent bracelets on my dogs to deter. Just a thought. My Chi's and I love me some Kiwi! ❤️ I hope I haven't offended. I do agree that you're a top notch owner. 🐾
