I love the fact it’s a massive combination of all the Timothy stuff fitted into a good story, and I like the fact that 0 is a prototype engine not a E2 specifically just a 0-6-0 tank engine, and poor 0 snapped not got possessed he snapped and in a rage he ended his life and clearly as a ghost regretted it, it really hammers the fact “if you push someone enough they will snap and you could be harmed if your in the wrong place…at the wrong time”

Definitely an awesome take on the original creepypasta. No demons, no passengers dying, no nonsensical craziness.

You’ve done it once again, Joe. Kudos!

The lack of human deaths makes the accident's in-universe obscurity a lot more believable. Nicely done!

This is probably the best adaptation of this story out there, and it makes you feel for poor Zero too. He wasn’t possessed, just thrown off the edge by constant bullying and decided to end his suffering in a most tragic way…

Admittingly this did remind me of 22tesla's adaptation of the infamous creepypasta in some parts like Edward telling Percy what happened. Even the title has the name. But this turned out to still be an original and unique take on the story. For example Zero is the only one that crashes off the viaduct and doesn't even have name or number. So with that said, this is probably one of the more unique takes on the ghost we see in Ghost Train and their origins. No random demon possessed E2 called Timothy that we've seen hundreds of times before but something that is different.

well, this was something, a really good take on an original creepypasta with no craziness or passengers dying.

I always wondered why Timothys crew didn't just uncupple the coaches attached to him in the original story, so I applaud your adaptation for making them do so :D

Personally: That's the best adaptation for "Timothy" I've ever heard!

Chilling! I love this adaptation of the Timothy story. Zero becomes very sympathetic and I love the touch of the older engines bullying him.

I know that people are tired of this story after the various interpretations of Timothy, but you can’t deny that this ghost engine is a classic and gives you just enough information to spark your interest while being vague enough that you can take in any way you want

I imagine Timothy after his death goes after the engines that bullied him.

This is how some people would write Timothy sometimes.

No blood, no scary imagery, you just add distressing elements and pure scary sequences of fantasy peril and somber tones.

Hehe, not a bad story! Kinda like my old take on the creepypasta, but more unique than mine. And better in the regard that this engine snapped because of the bullying, no demonic nonsense. A simple story, but nice in a way. I could even imagine this Zero just appearing behind Percy, watching him go with a sad smile before vanishing.
Maybe someday I'll try my own remake of my story as it's kinda rough

Wow. This is such a amazing job here.

Cool to see your interpretation on what and/or who the ghost engine that Percy's driver might've seen on television is like. And cool to see a retelling of the story of Timothy in your way. This one sounds more tragic then the original. Instead of being crazy, demonic, and evil, the engine sounded like they were mentally feeling unstable for their treatment and being bullied to the point of being reckless. At least in this one, the engine's crew saved the passengers before they ended up falling and crashing to their deaths with the engine here.

Such a fascinating and tragic rewrite here. Well done! Keep up the great work and take care!

Imagine a twist being the heroic crew of Zero is actually now Edward’s crew.

Edit: I love the part where you take DieselD199’s part of uncoupling the coaches before the engine plunges into the gap.

Wow. That gave me chills, you are an amazing storyteller great work.

I have a theory that Edward was the engine who insulted zero and told it to derail, that’s why he has such a vivid memory of the story.

Very spooky, I'm glad the passengers were okay.

There’s something about referring to a sentient engine as ‘it’. I do it in my own fics from time to time, it just adds a little something in the right situation.

I know a lot of people don't really favor the untold story of Timothy, but I love any version related to Timothy. Personally though, Timothy turning into an evil ghost is kinda understandable as well. on one hand, the other version is way darker, and this one is lighter, but, if you really think about it, both stories do end up the same. an engine kills themself, and nobody really feels bad for them at the current time. now, for me, I would totally understand how that would drive a spirit to darkness, and besides, we know Timothy does feel bad for what he did, but he'd fallen too far to ever turn back. but also, it's nice to hear a lighter version too.
