Just a little recommendation to have a look at monitor speaker placements 😊

Look into speaker distance and placement.
Right now things can only be panned from center to center. Essentially mono.

This is actually what you don’t need but it’s epic

to get started: what you actually need is an interface (even just a focusrite scarlett with 1 or 2 inputs), a mic (something like a rode nt1a or shure sm57) and a pair of headphones. This is a very nice setup though 🙏 i’m making an entire album on just an audient id22 and a neumann tlm 102 in my treehouse right now

If you don’t have the option of having your monitors further apart, swap their placement so that the tweeters are on the outside. That should help with the less than ideal positioning. Good stuff though man!

Looks great but I would recommend having the tweeters on your speakers on the outside rather than the inside:) it’ll help you hear the stereo image a lot better

Really all you need to set up a studio is your daw, and a computer, if you record vocals all you need is a mic and headphones, and some plugins for noise removing if you have isolation filters

These Events are mid-field monitors, best to place them further apart and more behind your desk, but I imagine the space is limited. For a small setup like this, the iLoud MTM (preferably MK2, but MK1 is fine as well) is perfect. Been using them for a while now. Don't let the size fool you, these sound way bigger and tighter than they look. and have room calibration as well.

Thank you 🙏
This is helping me to plan my sound treatment. Watching people building beautiful diffusers got me way too excited! I’ll start with absorption panels and then consider if it’s worth adding any diffusion later :)

Interested that you didnt completely block the window, do you think that effects the sound at all ( i actually like not blocking the window, gives air to the room and a nice view)

Drums… drums… drums….

I had a studio like this then realized there’s no way I’m gonna get the level I need without spending way too much on outboard gear. This is why I invest my money on my songs themselves and go to a really crazy studio and have a bunch of fun. If you’re like me, I hope this helps.
