I love the way she speaks. Her wording suggests intelligence and class but the small inconsistencies and weird inflections say she’s still not totally acclimated to the etymology and speech of the ”Plantation Class.” It’s masterful acting.

I must say, she's stunning. There's is a virtuous anger behind the polite smiles and the satisfaction of her condition. The French comedian who dubbed her for the film also did a wonderful job translating her performance.

The first time I saw Ms. Alfre Woodard was from Desperate Housewives. I knew, instinctly, at once that she must be one of the best actors for something about her acting is so alluring and magnificent. It transpires that she is truly one of the best of them all!
